Silk Road

Bronze ritual vessel

This concept is inspired by the Chinese character "亚" (Asia) and the Beijing character "北" (North), integrating them as the foundational structure for the design. The design incorporates traditional Eastern calligraphy styles, combining cursive script and Song typeface. The upper portion, with its elegant Song font, and the lower portion, hinting at classical clerical script, symbolize the connectivity of the Silk Road, merging the terrestrial and maritime routes with global cultural exchange.

Origin of Asia Art Week

The establishment of Asia Art Week traces its roots to the collaboration between Eskenazi, a renowned art dealer, and a Taiwanese antiquities collector.

Xu Zhengfu and Eskenazi celebrated for acquiring a Qinghua porcelain ghost jar for RMB 62 million, which played a significant role in achieving a historic repatriation milestone. Meanwhile, Xu Zhengfu, known for his extensive collection and expertise, earned the title "Father of Antiquities" in Taiwan.

By October 2019, the inaugural Asia Art Week officially launched in Beijing.

As the Executive Chairman of Asia Art Week- Du Ping, along with Xu Zhengfu, contributed significantly to fostering cross-strait cultural exchanges.
